SZÉP Card more popular than ever; less spent on local transport from cafeteria

Our 2014 analysis, based on over 30,000 employees' cafeteria declarations in the c1 system, shows the SZÉP Card's share exceeding 32%. The housing loan repayment extension is the most important novelty, though it has not yet noticeably impacted benefit popularity.

The top five benefits (SZÉP, Erzsébet, voluntary health fund, voluntary pension fund, local transport) remain unchanged, together accounting for over 90% of the total.

Local transport dropped to 6th place due to the 10% BKK fare surcharge when purchased through cafeteria.

SZÉP sub-account distribution

The hospitality sub-account received nearly two-thirds (63%) of SZÉP contributions. Cross-sub-account flexibility means that sub-account popularity no longer directly indicates actual spending purpose.
